Delete your Rykie account
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Have premium? Cancel it first
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. A monthly plan would go on being charged. Cancel it first: in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or on the web from Manage subscription on the premium page (or the link in any Paddle receipt). The 6-month and yearly passes never renew, so they need nothing.
The quickest way: from inside the app
Open Rykie and go to Profile → Account → Delete account, then confirm.
It takes effect immediately, with no waiting period and no email to answer. You do not need this page unless you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in.
If you no longer have the app
Email rykie.support@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Rykie account, from the email address you signed in with. Nothing else is needed — the address is what identifies the account.
Requests are actioned within 30 days, and in practice within a few days.
If you played as a guest
A guest account — the one “Skip for now” creates — has no email address or anything else attached that could tell us which account is yours, so it cannot be deleted by request. It does not need to be:
- Uninstalling the app removes everything on the phone.
- The copy on our server is deleted automatically once the account has not been used for 90 days, together with its progress. Nothing needs to be sent.
If you still have the app, Profile → Account → Delete account removes a guest account straight away, the same as any other.
What gets deleted
- Your account and, if you signed in with Google, the email address and Google account id attached to it.
- Your entire progress record: finished sessions, answers, time spent, streak, XP, coins, hearts, and the avatars, titles and backgrounds you own.
- The record of whether you have premium that our own server keeps.
- Your league profile — display name, avatar, XP, invite code — and every friend link, in both directions.
- The copy of all of the above stored on your phone, when you delete from inside the app.
All of it is deleted outright. Nothing is kept in an archive, and nothing can be restored afterwards, so there is no way to change your mind.
What is kept, and for how long
- Security logs at our hosting provider may retain the fact that a request was made, with an IP address, for up to 30 days. These are not linked to your account after it is gone and are not used for anything but abuse prevention.
- Payment records. If you ever bought premium, Google Play or Paddle keep the payment and tax records the law requires them to keep, under their own privacy policies.
- Purchase history at RevenueCat, the service that tells the app whether you have premium. Write to us, and we will have it removed as well.
Nothing else survives the deletion.
